Accessibility

We want everyone who works in or visits a clinic to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or reduced motion.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How we test

  • Automated checks with axe on every page, run as part of our build tests.
  • Keyboard-only checks of navigation, menus, the patient-journey walkthrough and forms.
  • Checks at screen widths from 320 to 1920 pixels, and with reduced motion turned on.
  • Colour contrast checks for every text and interface colour.

Motion

Animations on this site explain the order of steps. If your device is set to reduce motion, they are turned off and you see the final state straight away, with the same information.

Known limitations

The site has not yet been tested by people who rely on assistive technology every day. We would like to do that, and we would like to hear from you.

Report a problem

If something does not work for you, please tell us through the contact form and describe what happened.
